Abstract

Education in children needs to be instilled from an early age, including teaching clean and healthy living behavior. Clean and Healthy Living Behavior is needed by students at school to avoid various diseases. This community service activity aims to provide information, communication and education about the dangers of diarrhea, clean and healthy living behavior and the practice of washing hands with soap to elementary school students at SD 01 Maranatha, Semarang City. The method of implementing the activity is education which consists of counseling, video screening, discussion and question and answer. Participants in educational activities were students of SD 01 Maranatha, Semarang City. The material presented was the dangers of diarrhea, prevention of diarrhea and washing hands with soap before and after eating. This community service activity succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge and understanding about the dangers of diarrhea and clean and healthy living behavior where there was an increase in knowledge. PHBS information communication and education activities in schools can be continued in other areas as an effort to foster clean and healthy living behavior at an early age.
